| | | Hi folks. I grew up here in the Pacific NorthWest, but I'm relatively new to UE (and just passed my 3 day probationary period for the site 2 hours ago. hah!) I've met a lot of you already during UE meetups and parties, so I thought it was about time I got my butt on here. I am the one with the purple hair. Hopefully the only one, but if not... then I am the OTHER one with the purple hair. These are my most recent photos taken at a new location for me. It was largely left untouched. It was a treasure trove of antiques and some personal remnants, which I usually enjoy the most for the human element they lend to the building. Here is page 2 of a love letter found amongst some old, dusty stuff. Note the hand-written paragraph on the bottom left... heh.
I decided that this was an antique washing machine. But I'm open for debate.
Found in a closet, struck me as interesting.
Also found in the closet. Dated May 1941.
Try not to notice the less tasteful painting in the background.
Is this statue really supposed to look creepy?
Sorry about the quality of the photos. They were taken in the dark. With a flash. Better than nothing, right? [last edit 10/12/2011 2:46 AM by Grapehead - edited 1 times]

| | | That is a very very early electric washing machine. The newspaper I would rescue. What'd u do ue an antique store? Reminds me of an estate sale I went to in seattle where the owner moved to new mexico in the 1950's and literally just boarded up the windows and left. She left the heat on so everything was still in good shape. -Tom

| | | Wow, this is really a neat location! The photos turned out well considering you said it was dark. Lots of interesting artifacts from another time, and there is definitely a great story behind this place. I'm pretty sure I know who you are (you came to the recent meetup after-party, right?) -- if so, it's nice to see you posting on the forum. Hope to explore with you guys soon.
