| | | Here are some pics of my long time project and obsession that prompted me to go by the name Dat5un or Datsun. My 1973 Datsun 240Z... Enjoy I know its not UE related but I just wanted everyone to understand my name and see my other passion. Sorry for the crappy cell-phone pics. 1.

Give a person a match and they'll be warm for a minute, but light them on fire and they'll be warm for the rest of their life. =) |

When I say I'm 'clean and sober', it means I've showered and I'm headed to the liquor store. |

1983 CB1000c. 26,500 original miles, 3,000 or so miles since I went through and did a bolt by bolt, frame off resto on it. The CB1000c's were built only in 1983, intended to be a Harley Road King killer, smoother, faster, more comfortable... Sadly, they didn't sell well, only 1,300 were made and sent to the states, 1,100 sold, and only 550 or so are left registered and tagged across the states... It's easily the most understated bike, ever, I think... 1000cc inline 4, 4 Minukie carbs, dual rotor brakes front and back, 4 into 4 exhaust, shaft drive, the works. The most incredible thing is the transmission, it's a 10 speed, split high low range... You have 5 incredibly low gears specifically meant for track and sport driving and it takes off like a goddamn rocket, and 5 ridiculously high gears for the highway, I can putt around at 80mph turning about 1,300 rpm, getting about 65-70mpg out of a 120hp, 500lb bike. Mine is has flattop pistons, aftermarket carbs, hot cam, ports ground and polished, and race clutch. At 160mph it barley even shivers and feels totally stable. It's awesome.
Sorry to brag, I looooooove my bike.

| | | Niiice Z. The love of my life used to be a metallic blue, 5-speed 1977 280z, and we had some incredible adventures together. But sadly, we had to break up around 1990 -- she was just too high-maintenance, at a time when I needed inexpensive, reliable transportation. But she will always be in my heart.
