Used to go to Alternative school there, for a few months. The bus rides were to long for me back then. The bus rides downtown were more appealing.

I prefered CABE, tho there were long bus rides going to CABE as well:p

He say's they're removing all the asbestos & mold and will be either repairing or replacing the roofs in an effort to stabilize the deterioration. When they're done, the insides will be stripped down to the studs, the outsides will be secured from further water ingress. He said they're doing the 2 current houses, and will be doing the Community Hall as well as the old grocery store. After that, they'll have to wait for instructions from Imperial Oil.
So, nice to see a move towards historic retention, they could have easily demolished them.

Inside the Britannia Concentrator? Hard to get in since they spent millions prettying up that wreck for the Olympics. Went and patched all the nice holes, I don't think you can even walk into the upper level on the tramline anymore! (Assuming you were suicidal enough to try that stunt, of course).
Edit: Wait, no, that's a molten vat in the foreground, didn't recognize it at first. So this is somewhere that deals in large quantities of molten material. Interesting, live site then?
