| | | I scout (recce) hidden roads/driveways all the time. It's an integral part of UE. Exploring unknown areas. How the hell else will we know what's around? Sometimes it's a short letdown, other times, it can be an epic journey, requiring further planing!
I used to be with it, but then they changed what it was. Now what I'm with isn't it, and what's it seems weird and scary to me, and it'll happen to you, too! |

| | | Posted by oddspot i'm just saying that the contingent of DB and postings from Western Canada is pretty sad.... when i know there's great shit explored and to explore out here. if we encourage not discourage, it will get bettter.

It isn't a point of how good a location it is in my view, it's calling something what it is. Scouting is absolutely essential but it isn't something to call an exploration. As for why there is very little in the DB for this section, a big part of that is because of the burning of locations. I won't post a single thing in the DB, it's not my job to make a shopping list of sites for those too lazy to discover things on their own. I've seen too many places fucked up because of stupid people. I can have frequented sites for a decade but because of not being a moron while exploring, the sites stayed completely viable. Then I see places that as soon as they become more publicly known, get fucked up, locked down, or burnt down. I'll have no part in contributing to that.

Yeah, I've always found scouting to be very enjoyable. And usually setbacks just mean it becomes a challenge, which makes it more interesting to me.
