| | | Hello everyone! I'm new to the forum and would love to get some feedback. I used to live in Chicago and got really into exploring Gary IN for awhile there. I am mainly interested in urban exploration as a means of taking photos and exploring new places. Here I have some photos from Gary's Union Station and City Methodist Church. These were shot awhile ago with a Nikon D40, edited using Lightroom 3, some photoshop and made B&W using Nix Silver Efex Pro 2. I think Silver Efex really does wonders with the limited quality the D40 could put out...

| | | The first pic is my favorite. The others dont do much for me. I do love the b/w effects you ended up with though. The rest of the pictures seem to be somewhere in the middle of being centered and being off-center, but doesn't quite accomplish either. Also, you may want to focus on one part of the picture instead of leaving the entire thing completely in focus, that way it is a bit easier to look at. Hope this helps.

| | | As I sit in the comfort of my office, I look at these pics and they make me wonder who built these places, what things happened here, how did they come to fade, and mad, can I have all the stone from the church to build my own structure! These pics made me feel the awe and wonder I have when I explore. I am a very novice photographer so I cant say anything about composition, but I do feel the B&W made these very strong images. Thanks for sharing.
