| | Colorado Urbex Events < on 7/6/2011 2:17 AM >
| | | And so we all get the PM's from Colorado Urbex Events....which formerly was based in Ft. Collins, and now is showing a map to somewhere near Colorado Blvd. Is this REAL? etc. I see that if you look up your last PM from them, that was for an "event" on the 4th, there is ONE remark that says "guys missed out", posted a few hours after the event time, by a member name who has ZERO posts but is able to make that remark on the events board. I dunno. Why is there never a post afterwards that shows anything that went on? Has ANYONE ever been to this event that can speak about it?

| | | I've been getting the invites since it started, and as far as I know, they've never been anything.

| | | When did it start? I have been getting the invites ever since I regged under this name with my new location in Denver in about January. I have never seen anyone post anything about how this "event" went. And how someone with absolute ZERO posts can comment like "guys missed out" on the event invite board is just bizarre. If it's a cute and clever TROLL thing, fine...but, really, what's the point. This is a hard area for urbex compared to other areas of the country, and having a non stop bullshit invite machine to NOTHING doesn't help. Has ANYone ever gone?

Introduce yourself here! hello! my name is alissa june bradley, and urban exploring makes me happier than most any other activity i have ever tried. unfortunately, i do not live in the most ideal place for doing it- colorado. i aspire to go out east where there are many, many abandoned buildings of every species. for now, while i am in college and cannot afford to travel, i'd like to hear about places here in colorado that are worth while which i have not visited yet. i also hope to meet new people who share my fascination with the remnants of a life once live.
here is the facebook of the starter of this "Event". I have just now asked her via FB whether she means for that to continue.

It's all about the adventure
| | Re: Colorado Urbex Events <Reply # 4 on 7/6/2011 5:12 AM >
| | | Yup. I realized the Colorado UrbanEx thing isn't really an actively participated in event. A new one with a moderator who actually pays attention and coordinates it should take it over. I went on the 4th, and tried to coordinate it by giving out a location to meet at and time, but in the end only lomax, snipehunter, fire*** came (and thats just because i kind of know them). The thread about it being a holiday is the result of that meet up. Someone else should really take it over. It seems that the enthusiasm is there, it's just poorly coordinated. Any suggestions on who wants to do that?

| | | Thanks geneboy for that, so at least there is an explanation for the Fire posting on the event board. I live so close to where that map points to, but the thing about the invites is that nothing is ever heard, so it's hard to take it seriously. This info alone, that you have supplied geneboy, means perhaps the next one can be taken seriously.

| | | I've been getting invites myself, but I've been out of town or busy. I'm down for a legit meetup soon, and I'm back in town on the 11th.

| | | The fire post was an accident because he was trying to access the original board for the meet up that happened that day. Geneboy and I tried desperately to get things going and info out to people, but with no avail... but hopefully in the near future, there can be a monthly meetup that we all know is valid.. | | | I would've gone to the meetup, but I got geneboy's PM a bit too late to do anything. Something more organized would definitely be cool though.

| | | No worries, fire, you didn't make anyone mad. The whole event has seemed a wierd blurr to people for a long time, like a ghost event, no one is sure whether it happens or not. So,...no one got in trouble at the active paint place? luckeeeeeee.
