| | | I'm heading out to Vancouver, Nanaimo and Victoria next week. Just wondering if anyone has suggestions of places to check out?

| | | If you're in Vancouver, Stanley Park is beautiful this time of year, even if the lineups at the Aquarium are long. The hippies should be out in full colours, take a walk down Commercial Drive and smell the weed. And in North Vancouver, standing atop the Cleveland Dam is quite amazing. Lots to see in Vancouver. Likewise for Victoria. I was just there, and I highly recommend bringing a bicycle. Also, bring some spare change for the street kids downtown. If you have the time, the National Historic Site at Fort Rodd Hill is a great place. I didn't have a chance to hit the Butterfly Gardens, but next time! Nanaimo is a bit of a scum hole, although there's a good little diner downtown where I've had some nice breakfasts. Don't be fooled into paying too much for a famous Nanaimo Bar- more than $2, and you're getting ripped off. Protection Island is historic, and should be open this time of year.

| | | If you're into frozen yogurt, "I Love Canada" t-shirts and squeegee kids, you will LOVE Victoria!
