| | | I got permission at last to do one of these homes. I went through and wow this home was at one time a million dollars the real estate guy said. Had a honey oven (style) This house is southwestern all the way down to the logs in the ceiling that also go outside to the flat roof that's a deck This house was bought out by a real estate co* and they tore down the rest of the smaller homes and left this one to the owner to live in for a little under a year. Can't beat that bought out then you get to stay for free. The lady told me he stayed and left allot of his stuff in the home as he had a home in sedona. He had a yardsale and went to sedona and came back to find the garage open and his stuff had been tore through. He ended up grabbing a few items and left the rest was destroyed and taken over by stray cats, scorpions and a snake (gopher) He had a water system that kep the water when it rained below the house in a cement well. he used this to water his lawn and such. There is also a bunch of other photos of homes i have came across here in az*

| | | That does look like it would've been a great place to live when it wasn't in shambles. Great shots!

| | | that was a great house. I remember hearing about 300-500k homes in Ireland that were finished right when the housing bubble burst. Unoccupied except for 1-2 homes out of 40 or so (the owners of those couple homes were pretty distressed). The land owner for the lots said he couldn't find anything to do with them and the only economical thing left to do was to demolish them (vs selling at a discount?? I don't get it). Kind of pitiful and incredibly wasteful.
