| | | Not sure what #4 has to do with anything, but I love 1 and 3, awesome stuff. 2 is a bit too unexciting in my opinion. And I am just eyeballing this, but it seems like in all of the first three shots, the water/sky horizon is dipping to the right.

I thought the same thing. i looked a little longer and i think it's just a trick to the eye because 1 has a pier and the rocks leading up to it, so the image appears heavier with texture on the right hand side. so maybe thats why it seems like it dips to the right? just my opinion. 2 has something dark on the right side of the horizon and i think this is why it makes it appear like its dipping because my eye keeps getting drawn to that. love that these shots all have a nice fluffy feel, for lack of a better word. they appear very dreamlike in quality to me. somewhat surreal because of the movement with the water perhaps. think you're heading in the right direction!! keep it up! and i always enjoy moon shots, love how close you can zoom in! such detail in the craters!

| | | Thank you very much arntzville and k8, very much appreciate the feedback! And yes, that is what I was aiming for with the water... Something about soft, fluffy looking water, is growing on me... As for the moon, thanks! Glad you like it, it took me a while to get the focus PERFECT...

| | | 2 sucks and looks like you took the "blur" option in photoshop and blurred everything but that rock. it's weird. 1 is okay. the one of the moon looks like every other closeup of the moon i've seen.

| | | I would have to agree with petticat about the water it looks fake. Its more tolerable in #1 because farther out in the photo it looks like fog. Was there any fog? In #2 that blur effect makes it look the like the rock was shopped in. I appreciate the work it takes to get the moon in focus but wish there was something else in the shot with it. Do you have the unedited shots of #1 and #2?

I think the 'issue' with the water is that it's a long exposure with moving water, giving it the weird blurred effect.

| | | I do not care for the image of the moon, but that is only because the moon is easy to shoot so I don't see my going on there. The other three have their issues that others have brought up and I don't want to bother retyping. Having said that, I do enjoy the simplicity of the images. One monolithic subject in an image is always powerful. You said that you were "trying a new approach" and I guess I do not know your old approach. So if I knew that I would have a better idea on how to help. You seem to know the rule of thirds. So now that you know the rule, don't be afraid to break it. Rules are made to be broken, but only if you understand the rules. Keep shooting! Tyler

I suppose that could also be true, I would think with a long exposure the rocks under the water would look different than they do in these. I guess its hard to say without being there and shooting them personally. How long are the exposures on these Seeker? Is it long exposure or post work that makes the water look like it does? Edit: I think the water looks good in #3 was it shot on the same day? Different conditions or different time or a day without wind could make a lot of difference in the exposure times I would guess.
