Was on my way back from Kamloops yesterday and stopped to get gas in Bridal Falls and noticed that the old Flintstone Park in the Rosedale area is closed with their large sign painted black. Looks like some good exploring

I was thinking about that place the other day. They're planning to relocate so I doubt they've left everything there unguarded/truly abandoned.

Do not attempt to stop with hands or genitals.

I think I went there when I was young. I remember they had a great mini-golf course. They also had a theatre where they showed Flintstones episodes. My younger sister somehow thought that's where they recorded the laugh tracks for episodes so she made a spectacle out of laughing way too hard at everything, hoping she'd hear her own laughter in the episodes later on TV.

There were two places that I adored as a child and demanded a visit to as birthday wishes... This Flintstone Park (before DinoTown) and Captain Tibals Palace Hotel in Port Townsend. Haven't been to either in decades... oh great now i'm sad.

You're in luck, at least one of the two isn't going the way of the Dinosaur! http://www.palacehotelpt.com

sigh.
Thanks for that link Azazel, not much has changed there I see, and I have renewed desires to get back there one of these days.

I was likely the only Burnaby nine year old who demanded as a birthday wish to spend the weekend in a goldrush whorehouse. Hmmm... my appreciation for history goes back further than I thought. I wonder why I did so bad with it in school?!?
