2 and 4 are nice.

on #1, the left side is slightly distracting. either include more of the wall or cut it off (IMO)

to me, #3 just shows a dirty floor.

on #5, the window sill on the left is slightly in view, crop it out. the drawers are interesting, but the picture doesn't really say anything.

im confused bc you said 3 was nice at first and then contradict yourself by then saying all it does is show a dirty floor.

3 is showing all the dead carcasses of the lady bugs if you close enough you can count maybe 20 or more in just that tiny section of floor.

thanks!

sure, it shows dead ladybugs, but the windows sill one does that much better.

if you look at the picture as a whole, it's very flat, which is fine. but the floor boards and the lines in the picture indicate movement from the bottom left to the top right. it uses diagonal lines to draw the eye away from the bottom and up towards the top. but, nothing is there, it's just more dead ladybugs, but out of focus. if you were to have your focus point at the top right and then use a shallower DOF in the bottom left, it would lead the eye towards the focus point and towards the dead bugs, giving the eye something to look forward to.

the focus is in the center of the photo, the foreground and background are meant to be out of focus, its a macro shot of the dead bugs, but thanks for the advice

1. I agree with what was said about the wall. I love the broken part of that rail.
2. Is crooked but I like it in this particular shot.
3. My favorite. I personally think this shot is a better way to display the bugs because I would expect to find them on a window sill (it happens in our attic every year) but scattered around the floor like that is peculiar. Like they fell out of mid air or something. I like the crazy lines and that lovely, delicate feather right in the center.
The last one isn't that interesting to me.
