| | Kaltenleutgeben, Austria < on 4/7/2011 11:00 PM >
| | | This place is relatively close to Vienna. The only thing is that AFAIK it's quite difficult to reach by public transport. Also it's still "connected" to some working facilities i.e. you don't want to just enter from the front gate (it's locked and fenced anyways).... butttttt... if you drive past the buildings on the main road, and take the first RIGHT (i believe Flösselgasse) and drive up the road until you find a large meadow, some parking spaces and lots of trees, park there! Now turn your body around and look towards Kaltenleutgeben, and walk through the forest LEFT and towards that general direction. It's a bit tricky at first but you will eventually get the chance to go RIGHT and DOWN towards the buildings... but be careful some of the ways in are quite steep and slippery. You will eventually get down towards the buildings and you will see lots of fences (with sharp barbed wire on top!) surrounding it.. so you may have to search for awhile to find a "friendly" opening, but there are quite a few of them so just have some patience. Once you are inside the complex.... prepare to test your limits.... you can climb to the very top of some really huge and tall abandoned factory buildings with metal steps with big holes so you can see 50m down and properly shit your pants. Here's some panoramas:
