| | | So I am based out of the Peace River Area for the moment. For me this is including from Grande Prairie (and around, I don't know the area that well) to Fort St John and Hudson's Hope out to Tumbler Ridge or the other way out to Bonanza. But i'm able to go as far as Prince George as well. What I'm wondering is if there are any decent sites, especially old ghost towns. It seems they are all either in the interior or all the way up in the Territories/Alaska. Are there even hints on where I should look? I will be doing research on a few places in those said cities that seem abandoned, hopefully I will have something to contribute back. I know its rude just to ask for sites, but if anyone could even point me in a direction to look? I'm not from around here (PR) at all. Thanks for any info/tips, and Hello!

| | | Id suggest checking out the back roads around eaglesham and grimshaw. As at one point there were other towns that disappeared in a sense Good luck

| | | I've been living in the peace country since 1998 in one of the small towns you mentioned on the B.C. side of the border. I know the area fairly well, there are many many prime sites to find. Until recently there was alot to see out around tumbler ridge but now that the mines are open again and people have returned Some of the stuff I have explored in the north peace area... Fox farms. Abandoned mines. Farm compounds that religious groups lived in. And shut down mills. You'll find it all and more if you look for it. As for easy places to start any of the back roads outside of fort st john or dawson creek will give you some abandonments such as farms to check out. Some of the local real estate brochures may give you ideas for some of the old farms and farming communities. I have been out of town for a few months working and will be visiting some of my old sites again soon as i've got time off work and may share some specifics.
