Infiltration

	How do I go about finding the history of a site I've explored? ie former owner, past usage, etc. I'm especially interested in finding info about places based only on address. Any help would be great.

	Research, research, research. I know that sounds cruel, but that is how I get alot of my info. It is a pain in the ass, but it works most of the time. Or go down to the City Hall and look through public records concerning deeds. Wishing I was Jack Dalton just to have all the cool leftovers...

	The ways I have found information is 1. Google, Google is your friend 2. Go down to your local city records building, and get some info 3. go to your local histiorical society/museam, talk to the people there, they know alot of information about your town, and if they don't they are usualy willing to help you search for more info, as long as you are nice, and have a lot of interest in it. also, if it is for another town, just do the same, but for that town. 	Also visit state and city news paper archives. That is my best way. Then once you start to get into it and find people who know the place, check over with them. I have even gone straight to the state and cities myself. I have a habbit of writing so much to the state of Colorado there are a few people who are on staff that know me very well now lol Also look up addresses of the place, name of the site, former names, stuff like that, it could take a very long time too so be ready for that. 	Try library. I have couple of books I'll have to check out when our local library opens again after repairs, about the sites I've visited. I also have the infamous finnish sawmill bible that I borrowed before the closure. Good book. All information and details given in good faith but not guaranteed!

I find it enjoyable going to the archives and looking through Minutes and microfilms.
