Firstly, why did you post this in the Pacific Northwest and not in the B.C/Alberta forum?

Secondly, people aren't going to just give out locations because they don't know who you are. Your best bet is to hop into your local forum and chat up some locals around you. As you become known and earn some trust people are more likely to share stuff with you.

We just want to make sure your not law enforcement or something. Could be anybody behind a screen name. Chat up some people around you, earn some trust and you'll be alright.

Read through the Rookie section. It will tell you all of that and more. There is plenty to learn, so be open minded. Good luck and mainly remember that anything you post here will most likely be read by law enforcement. PM is your friend.

No worries. In this hobby of ours we just look out for each other is all.

But yeah read the rookie forum (THIS) when you can because it should give you answers to any questions you may have. You should also introduce yourself in the "New Member? Introduce yourself here!" board aswell.

Welcome to UER jeremyCoakes.

if your not willing to read the "under the garden city" thread then dont even bother asking anyone for any info, nobody is gonna go exploring for hours just to find a cool place only to give it up to some jackass, go take some pictures and post, do something, EXPLORE!!!!

There's a few awesome sites around Victoria, Jeremy. Just go downtown and take a good look at how the city blocks are set up, more of the core is abandoned than any other city in BC.

That being said, go look at my Britannia thread for a good example as to why we don't just post locations for anyone to see, anymore...

Or just relax, take a bath, then have a good explore. Don't mind the rudeness, everyone has to start somewhere.....Do you own a camera?

Pff, he's 16 and new, cut him some slack. We all had to start somewhere, act like that and they'll get scared off or end up tagging shit. Gently make the code of conduct known, don't beat it into them.

Oh, I'm in favour of the beating it in school- that is

TAKE NOTHING BUT PHOTOGRAPHS, LEAVE NOTHING BUT FOOTPRINTS

(ok, enough with the hammer!).

Seriously, there are lots of neat places around Vic that do not require any access skills at all. Then, there are lots of slightly more moderate access skills. Then, there are the tunnels, which KK and SourDiesel &...well, the whole world's been in them (except me...). Especially Satan. He lives in them

Get out, take some photos of neatish stuff. I'm not a full member, but that doesn't mean I can't offer advice on how this place works- if you submit reports (read the noob page, and follow it!) with semi-decent photos, then expect to get somewhere. Asking for "how do I do UE" on a silver platter will result in much derision.

Start with your own 'hood. Is there anything interesting you can photograph, and spin a story of? Abandoned houses? Abandoned buildings? Interesting features? Not everyone is going to get the photos like on "The Vanishing Point", and don't aim for them as your first images.

1) Ignore Big Daddy. He's bitter and frusterated, especially now that his part of the world is covered in about 40 feet of snow. Serves him right.

the best piece of advice i can give you

do not ask KublaKahn for help or advice

2) Buy me beer and I'll tell you everything there is to know, including TacDical's credit card info, his Justin Beiber infatuation, and why he always (without fail) wears a condom when he's exploring. And why he cries after making love. Cries like a little girl EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.

3) Read the Big Thread, don't go out alone (for now), trust only the people who have actually gone out with you, and do your own research.

Avoid Steam Punk at all costs.

Ninjaklutz is good people.

Post your findings with pictures. And then stop posting info about your explorations because you can be damned sure that someone will fuck up your shit and get the location way too much exposure from people who will ruin a good thing. This is guaranteed to happen.

Hell...forget about buying me beer. I'll tell you whatever for free. But ask me soon while my good mood lasts.

And welcome to the site.

KK

Don't find me, I'll find YOU! (best have some booze money) I have my trusty crusty street punker folk friends watching..YOU!

PS...not related, but if you find squats, maybe keep it quiet, and off the boards...Thankz!!!

I used to be with it, but then they changed what it was. Now what I'm with isn't it, and what's it seems weird and scary to me, and it'll happen to you, too!
