| | | If you're actually worried, it's probably not worth it. There is a chance that police/the owner of the school will see it. Not a huge chance, but it's still there. So if you don't intend to deal with all possible consequences, don't post things on the internet. Most likely, nothing will happen. But there's still the chance.

| | | Full members can post photos that search engines won't pick up on. Having said that, there are law enforcement persons present on this site. If you reaaaaally want to do it though, use TOR and post them to Flickr using a bogus account.

| | | Read the guide to posting images before (and replies): http://www.uer.ca/...d=1&threadid=60002 Don't reveal the location by name (which is good practice), if you are worried, you can blur your face (truly paranoid) or not upload any self portraits and you can strip meta data (which is also good practice) You probably won't see any legal ramifications and they can't "prove" you took the images. But it has happened before: people charged with trespassing over images they posted. http://www.photosa...urban-exploration/

| | | Like everyone said, I highly doubt they're gunning for you. Unless you also stole shit and burned the place down no one is going to really care about some photos of a school. Active nuclear power plant? Different story. Military installation? Different story. I wouldn't sweat it.

what he said..........plus...chances are if it's anything like round here, the alarm has probably been set off so many times that it is just ignored, even if you just wait for a few weeks before you post them if your real paranoid about it....make sure to wear your tinfoil hat!

+1 same as waiting a while to sell stolen stuff. Remember little details like phone numbers in your pictures can give you up. [last edit 12/5/2010 3:55 PM by mesomewierdo - edited 1 times]

The ''man'' keepin tabs on us as per usual. You'd be surprised how much of the stuff you'd see on shows like csi and stuff are true. auto-tecumseh, having never posted pics on this site before, my opinion on the matter doesn't count for much but my advice would be to post the pics if you feel comfortable doing so. if you don't think you could deal with any concequences of doing so, then just don't post them. having said that, you'd probably just get a slap on the wrist anyway but you never know.

Haha I forgot about that. I thought he was saying something about taking a picture of their phone number. If OP is worried about being busted through EXIF, then they could always hit Save for Web in photoshop.

I thought he meant if you took a picture of something that had a phone number on, that might be a giveaway as to what the location was. You could also mis-identify a location: "This is an old school I was given permission to enter on my last trip to Tasmania."
