|  | | | while you're there, there is an abandoned amusement park just about right next to the arrowmont school of crafts. almost nothing remains of it now but there is an empty pool and amazingly, the entire skylift is still there. I went there this past july when i was assisting a class at the school. there is a path right to it from the back part of the school and you can even pull in from the main street though i'm not sure where the turn in is. if you need directions try asking where the fireworks are fired from on the 4th as it is that lot.
