| | | Posted by Nikkor Would love to explore solo but too scared to do so, because i think it's not safe. I prefer going with one or two really good friends. We need to have same interests (photography), because when i visit a place, i like to take my time, and not be in a hurry.

| | | I usually go with two or three other people. We have our own little team that works well for us and we all have our own skill sets that contribute to the group. I am the location finder, we have our guy who is good at recon and who always goes first(the brave one). We have someone who is employed as a hostage negotiator who talks our way into and out of stuff for us he is also great at rappelling/anything to do with ropes and we have our cop who is able to get us some professional courtesy when/if we do get caught. I will occasionally go with one of my other friends who is interested in what I do but feel most comfortable when I am with my team. Personally I don't like taking anymore people than what is in our team because the chances of accidentally bringing a total moron go up with the number of people you bring and its hard to be very sneaky when you have ten people following you around.

| | | My "group" consists of myself and a friend. But more often than not I explore by myself or with one or two other people. Though I did go to a very difficult asylum in New Jersey last year with nine other people which was FAR to many for my liking. I prefer only one or two other people.

| | | It's tough exploring in a group, since most people want to see different things and are there for a different purpose. Me, I love photography but when I explore I mainly want to do that, explore. Photography comes second to me. I've explored with a few others who take 10 minutes setting up shots, and I'm just like "Are you ready yet?" There are a few people that I always explore with though who feel the same way I do. I rarely explore alone, unless I know the area.

| | | I have done quite a few locations solo, but mostly as a duo. Groups are great fun for an adventure, but can make it much harder to properly photograph a location... especially in cramped quarters.
This was a shit load of FUN...

| | | I haven't been out exploring much, but when I have it's been with a couple other people. I want to go solo simply because it's hard finding times when the people I do know who are into it want to go out. Most of my free time is at night though and exploring somewhere I've never been before at night solo mode *seems* like a bad idea :/ Thoughts? tl;dr: Anyone do new places at night solo?

| | | I try to keep it to a maximum of five people. I don't like going with big groups of people, because of the noise that can create, especially in high security places. Also I like taking my time while shooting pictures, and when you go with too many people, some people get impatient. That bugs me, although I understand, which is why I limit the people I go with.

| | | I find that 2-4 is ideal. I feel more than 4 you change of getting caught goes up because it is hard to get that many people through a POE fast like. But less than 2 you are at risk because you are alone and run the risk of getting hurt, also its nice to have some one to boost you up or pull you up if you need it. Also it is more fun if you have people to share your epic finds and adventure with!

They say "you can't judge a book by its cover!" I say "YES you can, if the cover has a girl on it with a cock in her mouth, its PORN!" if she's 18 and the cock is black, its GREAT porn! |

i find, when i take a large group of children to my van, i run into the same issues. that, and they're just too unruly in large packs. if i keep my numbers to a minimum, it is more efficient and i can get down to business a little bit easier.

| | | Another solo explorer here. I have one local friend who likes to explore with me, but we can never coordinate our schedules. I have small children, so my opportunities to go faff around an abandoned building for a few hours are rare and often spur of the moment. I'll rather go by myself than waste that precious time trying to scrounge up a buddy.Yes, it is more dangerous, but much more peaceful. Being completely alone in an abandonment in total silence is very soothing and meditative. Although definitely more spooky.

| | | 2 people is my general rule of thumb. 4 works if your planning on splitting up or if one person wants to bail early on. The other two can still keep up the exploration. As a girl, I find traveling with a male is a good cover too. If the cops show, your just another couple out taking some photos together. I also always have one exploration buddy aware of my destination. That way if something goes awry, that person has insight into where to look first. Trust is key with all company I keep. Very few people make it onto a second journey and i tend to go with the same person.
