|  | | | I was just wondering if anyone here knew of the stone walls in the west end of Halifax?
They are near Bayers Lake Park and are very interesting.
The Nova Scotia has the area listed as a special protected place. They also acknowledge that they do not know who built the walls nor when they were built.
If anyone would like to know how to find them, let me know. As well, go to YouTube and type in stone walls of halifax. Google it as well.
I'm concerned that the area will be built upon, destroying the walls and five sided stone basement there.

| | | | Those are likely from earlier settlers in the area, down home (westchezzetcook) in the field behind my old place, there are stone walls that stretch on for long distances, they were just there as property lines and fences back in the day. I can't imagine how long it took to make.

'Stairs to nowhere' was probably just built as an easy way for people to get up that hill back then.
