| | | While visiting my grandma in Florida, I stumbled upon this abandoned apartment complex down the island in Indialantic. It was fenced around it, but it was very easy to get in, I just slipped under the gate since i'm so skinny, and my heavier friend just jumped it with no difficulty, although we had to use our ninja skills to get inside the buildings second floor on in both buildings. Before I entered, I talked to the management at the small motel next door. I told them I was doing a project on the beauty of urban decay and that I was gonna be taking pictures and not vandalising the place so that they didn't call the cops. I learned it was built in the 50's and was closed around five years ago due to hurricane damage, so we had to be extra careful of the floors and roofs, which were very sketchy in some places. Here are all the pictures I took of the place, tell me what you think of my first posted explore to UER!

| | | LMFAO, (edited 9 times). So if I say FLORIDA FTW, are you gonna get another PM? onthbrightside- good first post. Maybe next time make sure you have it the way you want it before you post it so you dont piss off fellow users like the one above ;) . Yeah, gotta be careful with places that have potential water damage. That place most likely has concrete/steel floors, which holds up for the most part against water damage. Its the wood floors you have to watch out for, but you need to be careful either way, I've almost falling through floors a couple of times, not a fun feeling.

| | | yeah, dude. no reason to edit something 9 times and change the title twice. if you want to add more pictures, might as well do it as a comment. at least that way, theyre not so tight together that we cant even see them all fullsize.
--oh, and totally removed florida from my watchlist. i see where this is going already

| | | Cool, so that's in Florida? Looks pretty good down there in Florida. I'm traveling through the US shortly, and I'm lamenting that Florida isn't really doable, because I'd kind of like to see Florida.

| | | A lot of these shots are good, seems like you found a pretty nice place, but some of these definitely didn't need to be uploaded. Good job though! Any clue if this building is scheduled for demo?
