"Without a pic, it didn't happen."

Funny you would mention that.

I found a 100's of newspapers from world war I in an abandoned farm house in my town. a couple of them were actually from the 1880's, gave some to my teachers and still have the rest in a box in my garage somewhere.

they were in really good shape considering they were all stuffed in a closet in a leaky old house, there was a really cool old tv in great shape that looked like it was from the early 1950's, might go grab it over thanksgiving break.

Generally it's considered bad form to speak of things one has taken from abandonments. Just warning you.

“We are not going to have the kind of cooperation we need if everyone insists on their own narrow version of reality. … the great divide in the world today … is between people who have the courage to listen and those who are convinced that they already know it all.”

It's also bad form to actually take things in the first place...

One time in a drain I found on of those air quality monitors that will alert one in case of too much (insert harmful gas here). It was similar to this:

Although it lacked the antennae and wand thing, and was metal, and all covered in lyme. Thing was freaking sweet though!

Found this weigh scale at Conner.

This weight scale was like the bees knees man, it still works.

*Overview of scale*

*Me barely standing on it*

*My weight on it.*

Overall, this IS the coolest thing I've found besides the 2 lawnmowers that were to the left of this photo on pallets, that I have seen.

I found one at Firestone, it weighs in ounces.

An abandoned NSA spy station in west Berlin. No joke, this place was SO surreal. The main listening tower must have been about 200 feet tall with a complex of about a dozen buildings down below. Apparently the hill it stands on was literally built with the rubble of West Berlin after WWII and somewhere buried deep below is a Nazi university. When I was leaving a security car pulled up and I had to sneak out. Overall this is one of the coolest places I have ever been to in any domain.

I once found a pentagram drawn on the ground with melted wax and ashes in it. It was pretty creepy.

haha totally didn't realize this referred to items not places. the coolest thing I found was a photographic catalog of Apollo 11 in this abandoned observatory I used to hang out at in LA. The publish date was 1971 and the photos were taken with a Hasselblad, only the best for NASA.
