I hope we are all alive to go and explore this place when it is not guarded, and perhaps check out the secret underground places. [last edit 7/9/2010 8:54 PM by Boulder Unveiled - edited 1 times]

| | | I don't know about all the metaphors and allusions he was making, but those certainly are strange murals at the Denver Airport. I used to fly into there all the time and I have wondered WTF possessed those people to put murals like that up in an airport

| | | The Denver Airport and its nearby landmark the Demon horse of Hell is clearly conclusive objective evidence of the Twenty-Twelve world apocalypse iiluminatti conspiracy. We just have to wait for it to become abandoned. Should be any day now.

| | | My dad was an electrical engineer doing work all over that airport before it opened. I've been all through that place. Rather than have me skipping school and getting high, he would drag me with him to all these jobs. I hated it at the time but I got to see a ton of cool shit. He worked in emergency power so anyplace that needed uninterrupted power, airports, hospitals, government facilities, etc, we got to go. Personally though, I think Stapleton would make for a much more exciting sneak. That place was created in 1919. Way more history and way less security.
Where'd my oh there it is go?...damn. |

And way less...anything? Or at least anything that I am aware of. I have been snooping around Stapleton searching for drains. Reckon I nearly broke into prison once oddly enough, but that's whole 'nother story involving low temperature and a series of odd coincidences. I'm pretty sure a very good sizable portion of Stapleton has already been/or is being redeveloped for rich yuppie neighborhoods. All them houses look the same, it's hella creepy. I can never go down there without getting lost. "Hey didn't we already pass this house?" "Dunno THEY ALL BLOODY LOOK THE SAME!" "Well what's the street name?" *Looks at street sign* "I've never even f**king heard of this shit." I'm very certain most of the old Stapleton airport is redeveloped now into these crazy maze houses. There is still a watch tower near MLK BLVD, and a fenced off area that is clearly still in operation, and a few other fenced off areas that are government property and very well guarded (I know this from inside experience, oddly enough I really was just trying to get through). There really aren't very many remnants of the old airport. Lowry still has bunkers and some old buildings. I know of some good asbestos contaminated ones. I dunno much about Northfeild Stapleton, other than it's a mall in the middle of no where. If there is anything neat in Stapleton, I'm down. Send me a PM, I don't live too far off. Been lookin' for these drains for ages. [last edit 3/9/2011 1:46 AM by miirkat - edited 3 times]

My bad. It's been so long since I've been there that I barely know what's become of it. The last time I was at Stapleton, Denver's Imaginary Airport was still having problems with its secondary baggage system. Before that, we used to fly 172s and 182s outta Jeffco 29R to Scotts Bluff, then over to Centenial before comming back by Stapleton. My, how times have changed. There used to be a little grass strip down 70 that rented out cessenas and pipers cheap. (Used to be able to pick up a 172XP for $150 wet... I wonder if it's still there) I guess it makes sense, seeing as how we were building homes near the airport. I just never expected em to build on top of it. I grew up in Thornton and could see DIA from my roof top. We were there long before any of that shit down 104th was there. When we bought that house, there was nothing north or east of 104th and Colorado. We must have bought that house in 1984 or 85. My, but I feel old... If you'll excuse me, I think its time for my Ensure... [last edit 3/9/2011 4:53 AM by phractal - edited 2 times]
