Baron Hill Mansion

This is my first thread on here. I hope the pics go up OK!

These are some pictures from my visit to Baron Hill Mansion (Beaumaris, Anglesey) in 2009. I noticed that the pictures on the page weren't very up to date so I thought I'd add some here. There have been rumours for a while that it will be changed into flats and it did look as if they had started clearing there-- but they had a LONG way to go before any real work can begin! I might head back there soon and see how things are going.

Beautiful set, I love the combination of fine masonry and rough stone in those ruins.

Softly creeping through
Empty hallways decades old,
glimpsing history.

The picture with the over grown stairs is very cool. It kinda look like ruins you would find in South America or something. Good set!

The first one is beautiful. Very cool.

Loved that place. Shame the staircase is collapsed up to the second floor though. Would have been neat to go all the way up.

I tried everything... pulling beams from the rubble with my bare hands to bridge the gap. In a dress. Eventually we gave up, it was just not possible with what we had on hand.

There were some planks across the gap... but the next bit looked like it had dropped slightly already so I didn't think it would hold my weight!
