Apparently they patrol Hartlen Point pretty heavily now. Although when I went, it was intensely foggy out and 12:30am.

| | | True enough, but Hartlen Point is easy to get into. And extremely easy to hide at night.

| | | I went around on Monday, and saw not a soul. There isn't that much of interest in there; it's just a sort of ghost town. Really eerie.

| | | There's only one thing I'm actually interested in at SP. It was mentioned at one of the previous meets. But alas, this is a thread open to the public, so I'm not telling

I think that building is part of the Navy, pretty sure it's not abandoned. Nice shots. Be careful around Shannon Park.

It's DRDC Atlantic/Naval Dockyard Annex. EDIT: Oops, didn't see Nootz's post. [last edit 10/11/2010 7:05 PM by Jonnie B - edited 1 times]

| | | Also, if your friend is whaling on a guy who'd over stayed his welcome and got aggressive when asked to leave a house party on Windsor Street, MPs will stop and see what's up. They were also kind enough to call HRP and EHS for us.

On DND property, they have more authority than any other Police Service in Canada - in fact, civilian Police services don't have any authority on DND property, unless authorized by the MPs. Don't screw with them on property

This i know, but its just a little joke between forces, because say you park on base for even the length of 2 minutes you will find an MP giving you a ticket, you need to have "X" amount of years in to able to park on base, sneaky MPs!!!

They have the same authority as RMCP and HRM Police. They just don't exercise it as much. Makes their job harder.

They only have that type of power in there jurisdiction, aka bases, they are peace officers so they could excercise there power outside of the base, but they would need to ask permission to do so from the local police force.
