I was talking with my friends the other day and the subject of bomb shelters came up. And while conversing it was divulged that apparently there are rumors of a hidden bomb shelter somewhere under the Old Strathcona High School. Can anyone verify this?

Also it was the Penhold bunker that was rumored to have been destroyed in 2001 (you just misread the article); though reliable sources report that the entrances were backfilled, and the bunker left intact.
The cold war one in Edmonton is still there. (I shot these around 2002)

| | | | I've been to Penhold, believe me they dismantled the bunker. I know of another one in Ontario, where they just back filled the entrances.

| | | | yo just went by place its peach colored now and that entrance in the ravine is riveted shut. Although there is a man hole by it. But Capt Canada may be right about it being sealed good
