| | | This excerpt from the article intrigues me: "Except for an obscure reference in the mining section of the city’s Geographical Information System map database" Why does Tacoma have a mining section in their GIS database? Are there mines under Tacoma? I know there are coal mines under Bellingham. Possibly more information, from the county metadata: http://yakima.co.p...ards%20-%20Tunnels,%20etc..cfm?action=NoGoBack

| | | As a kid going into Tacoma it always felt a little weird and creepy. Like a run down mafia town. Or maybe it was zoo lights and never never land.. As the urban legend goes it sounds like there might be more than just train tunnels underneath Tacoma! These articles mention a underground lake. It sounds like they have been polluting Tacoma's aquafilter. Maybe this is why the drinking water comes from a reservoir in the mountains.
