First time posting in this section. Might actually be my first time posting ever, not sure.

I'm just looking to improve. Be as harsh as possible. I want to learn!

Shooting with Nikon D40 with a 30mm f/1.8 unless otherwise specified.

I did a few b&w versions. I included links to b&w versions above the images if they had them.

1. Keys

2. Operate - Shot @ 28 mm, f/3.5, 30 secs

3. Light

6. Rubbish

If I need to edit anything based on format just let me know and I will as soon as possible. Thanks everyone.

I really like your style, but I think some of them could use a little bit of cropping. For example, #3 has a little bit too much blackness on the left side. I wouldn't recommend cropping out too much, since it would take away from the effect, but just a little bit would improve it greatly, in my opinion. My other criticism of this set involves #5. Compared to your other shots, it just doesn't seem as visually pleasing. I think perhaps it's the door on the left that's somewhat distracting since it's cut off. Maybe if you either included more of the door or just completely eliminated that part, the photo would be a little bit better.

Now, enough with my criticisms. #1 is my favorite. For once, I think putting a photo into B&W added to it. Usually I find those sorts of photos a little corny and cliche, but it really works here. I love that diagonal line of light going on, too.

Great job on this set! Like I said earlier, I enjoy your style, it's a bit different and leaves a little to the imagination with the dark parts in each photo.
