I took some of my summer camps pics and decided to try something new and take down the saturation from them.
Rip them up, its the only way I learn

I still like this version (http://www.uer.ca/...d=1&threadid=73132) a lot better, especially because desaturated photos are quite boring to look at, so little contrast. It would fit better with a winter landscape, but not this colorful autumn forest.

Thanks for all the comments. Now what you mention a winter scene that does sound like a better idea, i was trying to go more moody with the shots. I think I'll make a trip out there while these snow on the ground

These shots are amazing!!!! love how you desaturated the pics, puts an excellent mood in the shots. Well done.

I think that they are bright enough, it depicts the gloomy mood well.

I like the desaturated version of #1 better because the houses looked oddly monochromatic in the normal one. Although I do admit when I first saw the white sky and pale leaves, I thought I was looking at an IR image.

But the rest of the set is wonderful, that barn looks like it has a dressing room though. And #4 looks like the only things keeping it up are the window frames, lol! Is #2 a one room schoolhouse? Has a lot of windows for such a small building.

They are all cabins from an abandoned summer camp.

Thanks for all the comments

I agree. I feel as though the point is to show what's actually happening to this place where kids once spent their summers. Great pictures.
