| | | New member, new to posting. Also kinda new to urban exploration, but I have started draining. I haven't really done any other types of urban exploration other than that. I know a couple of nice drains near where I am. Here are the GPS coordinates for each one (just google maps search the coords). 39.546577, -104.885176 39.540608, -104.880901 39.554701, -104.885927 39.556839, -104.885144 First one is a very short 7 foot RAP, not very interesting but it does have a curve and a cool ladder. There are two of these drains right next to each other and go under the intersection of Yosemite and Lone Tree Parkway. Okey dokey, so the second one is a very very long 7 foot RCP, which ends up at a 7 foot RAP then gets smaller from there. It has a couple turns and manhole ladders, and a grill in the ceiling near the beginning. That one is my favorite so far. There is no notable graffiti, except for a kinda funny cat thing with a dunce hat. I really like this drain, if you're in the area its worth visiting. The third and fourth ones I haven't explored yet but I have seen them. I know they are both pretty big. The fourth one has three ~5 foot RCPS and one ~7-8 foot drain. The third one I think has two ~7 foot drains. I'll work on getting more pictures, most of these are from the first drain I have listed
I'm slightly afraid of the dark and a little claustrophobic, but honestly I really enjoy this. Its awesome to crawl through a 3 foot RCP then come upon a 5 foot wide pipe that goes straight up for 10 feet (i'll post info on this one later...). I enjoy the smaller ones. All of these arent 3 footers but the second one leads to a couple of 3 footers. The taller ones are fun too but just too easy for me. I'd love to have access to the information on other drains nearby, so I want to become a full member, but I know you guys all need newbies to "earn it" so hopefully adding this info will help. Sorry about the quality of the photos, I took them with the iPhone's camera, but I figured bad pictures are better then no pictures, especially on drains that aren't well known. Thanks! -kraig [last edit 1/29/2010 1:30 AM by kraig - edited 1 times]
"Is that the entrance to the drain?" "Yeah" "It's right behind the police station." "Oh. Maybe we should go to a different one..." |

| | | You should definitely consider getting some boots, it's no fun to be getting your feet wet at this time of the year!
Stay tuned for Exploring the World with Insane Dick! |

Well that day it was all completely frozen but yes I will need to get some boots when everything starts warming up a bit.

| | | Always good to see new faces in the Colorado draining scene, which is actually somewhat defunct right now. Lone Tree, eh? Hm, I never really go that far south in the intimidate Denver area.
