|  | | | An email came from urban atrophy forum, which I'm not a member of, nor sure such a place exists (never been there), warning me they detected a computer virus and I should link to a site to view the message. I didn't link anything and stuck it in my quarantine file and anti-virus hasn't detected anything. They referred to the UN I use here. Anyone else get this?

I'd recommend deleting the MFer and do NOT click that link. Don't believe me? Check the properties of that link, chances are it doesn't actually link to the thing it displays.

| | | | I've gotten these too, it seems the code they use for the messageboard has a vulnerability in it. Do not click any of the links and delete the email.....fyi you must have signed up with your email at one point of another.

| | | | Very similar to the email I get when I get a PM on UER. Just so happens the PM you were sent on UA had a subject that discussed a virus. The PM on UA likely contains some kind of virus or malware. But like someone else said, take it up with the admins over there.

I have my own forum(not related to urban exploration)and I deleted that same member this morning.
I had another one with a similar name do the same thing.It's just another form of spam if you ask me.
Unless they actually make a post on the forum I have no way of tracking an ip and can only delete their membership.
I was exploring the cave last night. That's why I was late.

| | | | Just delete the email. I got the same exact one. I spammer makes a user name and then tries to send out different things hoping people click on them. Usually when i get something like that on UrbanAtrophy i just delete it and not open it. So just do yourself a favor and delete it without clicking anything or even opening it next time.
