| | | Hi everyone, Just wanted to say hi and introduce myself. I never knew there was a forum for these kinds of things. I've been exploring for a while now, in a lot of interesting settings. Old factories, tall antennas, mining towns, mines themselves, caves, lots of infiltration onto the roofs of buildings in Denver, and my personal favorites: wind turbines. I really enjoy all the cool photography on the site, and the cool locations. Hopefully I can join in on a few group explorations or something and get to know you all. Happy new year -Scotty

| | | Cool, nice to have you. You got any cool pics from the wind turbines? I've always wondered about climbing those. Do you protect at all when you do?

| | | Welcome! I'm curious about the turbines too, and I'd like to hear about some of the ghost towns you've been to. You should post some pics.

Above are some photos of some of my recent adventures this year. The first wind turbine photo is of us jumping off the blade There are extensive ladder systems inside most wind turbines, and then a little creativity is required in the nacelle to get onto the roof. Such beauty. I also randomly found an abandoned country club on the beach (not in Colorado). Two rural decay photos are from Winfield Colorado, and then the last few are from an old factory that we explore on a regular basis. Inside there is a pristine edition of the local newspaper from 1977. As far as ghost towns go, I spent every summer up in St. Elmo Colorado while growing up, and began infiltrating mines much to my grandparent's dismay. I love the history associated with all these old ghost towns. I've been to many along the front range and in the mountains, but IMO none are quite as well preserved as St. Elmo.

| | | Dude. BASE off wind turbines is epic. I also didn't realize that the ladders were internal, I guess that makes sense.
