Perhaps I should invest in a pair of these bad boys, because as DJ Craig knows, I am less than proficient at fence climbing when the roll-over technique that Bounce Wiggle and I invented is not possible. Any idea where I can find a pair?

You can order them online, but since they size weird and everyone's feet are different, I highly, highly recommend going in to actually try them on before you buy. If I had ordered online according to the size chart, I would've went a size too small. Here's a store locator: http://www.vibramf.../store_locator.cfm

I would have been a size too BIG, even though I'd measured according to their size charts several times, before. Well, I was 2 different sizes in 2 different kinds. In the stores, they have these gigantic red feet things that you put your foot on and it tells you your size. The stores don't always have all the colors but it is better. Also make sure you inspect the shoes really well before buying -- I found quite a few defects when I was in the store, which made me not want to order a pretty color online. I settled for slate and still love them.

| | | I'll go the other end of the spectrum, since it will involve a little less 'shoe changing' and recommend: Any sort of heavy duty boot with a 'full last' (very rigid support from heel to toe) That means those bolts and such are climbable since you can use these boots for edging. With chain link you may want to consider rigging up some sort of peg in the tow of each of your UE boots? Doesn't have to be fancy, bury a 3" galvanized screw in some sturdy work boots, that should do ya well, and it'd be a f***load cheaper than the aforementioned alternatives. And if you don't like shit between your toes (I hate flip-flops for example) you're all good! Just my 0.02$ edit: typo [last edit 1/4/2010 10:21 PM by Mysterea - edited 1 times]

| | | I bought a pair of Vibram Fivefingers a few months back, the KSO model. They've started to show some tear, but I love them. They definitely take a few days or even weeks of wear before you get used to wearing them, so don't think you can just throw them on and go. Definitely worth the price, though. I might look into getting another pair.

Crampons? I know some big guys who have used them for fence climbing and they seem to work really well. Throw 'em in your bag once you're over the fence and you're good to go.
