Why your friends are scared to do a location might also be important. Have to climb? some people can't. Security? some people won't do live or patrolled sites. Just way too dark/creepy/smelly? Well most people here will probably jump right on that. Maybe post a pic from an awesome site you've done to help entice people. I can't say no to an amazing drain shot.

If so, be warned that since there are all the active buildings around there, those people are VERY quick to call security.. Ive gotten them called within five minutes both times Ive prerun this place. Not saying dont do it, just saying: be sneakysneaky..

| | | Most locations in Maryland are haunted. The ones that are not haunted are certainly full of junkies and violent scrappers (first hand experience.) We prefer to talk about exploration here, versus actually investigating such places. DO tell me about "going stealth!" Will you have nunchaku at ready?

| | | Yes, Don - I really worry about young upstart UERs in the Baltimore/DC area! The threats and dangers that await them at places like Glenndale and Henry Town (dare we even speak its name after we lost one of our own there?) are often under-rated and forgotten in our rush to take more amazing and epic shots. I will say 5 rosaries for henrytonwiz and hope he is proficient with both Nunchaku and Katana.

I walked up in broad daylight and hopped in. No stealth, just picked the right time to do it.

Try poking around Oella (the historic district in Catonsville) as there is a burnt out paper mill, a (now nearly destroyed) private school and a huge spiraling road filled with abandoned houses all within sight of each other. There's also an abandoned theme park fairly close by off one of the major highways. Do a bit of google searching. As for Crownsville... if you're into tightly locked, modern hospitals, there's something there for you. Also take a look at Owings Mills, anywhere in Baltimore, though I'd stay clear of that one columned building people posted photos of here. It's totally haunted. Also, don't be afraid to explore solo. You often find the most interesting things when you do.
Get down, girl, go 'head, get down. |
