| | | I'm going to be going to the dock on the Fort Langley side sometime soon (I still like going there even though the ferry's gone, it's just a nice spot and there is an abandoned house there that's been explored in a previous thread), but the boats were (last time I checked) still docked at the Maple Ridge side. Anyone else interested in seeing if we can't get a look around one of the boats before they get sold and moved?

| | | I'd be down for exploring there. Have you explored down there at all? Think it's accessible?

| | | I've been on the Fort Langley side and it's very easy (and obvious) on how one gets onto the dock. Haven't had a chance to go to the Maple Ridge side, but from what I've seen the boats are docked fairly close to the dock on that side. I'm planning another trip to the Fort Langley side on Thursday...maybe I should scrap that and go scout out the Maple Ridge side instead. It'll have to be quick though, because I only have half an hour before the bus back to Haney Place comes (unless I want to be stuck there for a further two hours waiting for the bus back!) and my camera is an old battery-eating monster. | | | Ah, a fellow busser. They can make exploring take a lot more planning when you have to organize everything around when the busses come.

| | | It's not so bad for places like Richmond or Vancouver where buses are frequent, but if you're going into the east part of Maple Ridge the buses are all very infrequent...'course, at least there's a bus that goes right to where the ferry is on the Maple Ridge side. Going to the Fort Langley side involves a nice long walk...

| | | Long walks are fine in nice weather... But when it's raining... No exploration gets done...

| | | And yet I braved the rain today to bring these pictures of the Fort Langley side.
The washroom/security building/whatever. It's solidly locked.
Looking back towards Fort Langley.
Something's a little off here, I wonder what it is...
Looking down the ramp (note the traffic light)
This used to be a sign.
Looking at the other side, there's the boats just waiting to be explored.
End of the ramp. Note this picture too.
Passenger waiting area. I wonder if the control box works...
Looks like it does...
Ferry's closed everyone. Go home. [last edit 10/24/2009 2:05 AM by Setar - edited 1 times]
