Behind an Organ!

A friend, my brother, and myself were wandering around a church downtown waiting for my dad's concert to start (one of the churches downtown is doing this "Jazz Vespers" thing where they do a sermon, then play jazz. I'm not religious, but there's never a bad time and place for jazz) enough exploring and we eventually found ourselves behind the church's pipe organ! Where, I assume, maintenance would be done on the individual pipes. There was a smaller room within this room which housed quite a few interesting pipes.
Sorry for the bad quality pictures, they were taken with your average every day iPhone, so the quality wasn't too great. Better than nothing, though.

That small door led to this room

This bench in there was your average sized bench. That means yes, those small pipes were about as big as a pencil.

It was really cool and I'm glad we found it!
Pipe organs are awesome.

After church back when my mom made me go, every time I would sit in the balcony and check the door in the back that lead to the bell tower. I finally had luck one day (they were prob working to put in the new bells). It was awesome! Part of the ladder was missing and I had to climb it in heals, but all the better. It was covered in bird crap though.. I wanted to climb to the roof of it too, but was afraid of how much time it would take. When I finally got back down it turned out I was 30 minutes late even though I had gone up during the end of service. Got in a lot of trouble (for like five minutes, haha). Church can be fun was the point of the story. (I feel bad to say that cuz I do like other parts too)

It could've actually been the storage for all the replacement pipes... I'm not up on my church organ-ology.
Still cool, though.
