| | | Hey all, I am going to mexico in 2 weeks for a wedding and am planning on trying to find a place known as Doll Island, aka Isla de las Munecas. Its crazy but absolutely amazing. To get there, you take a “trajinera” from the Cuemanco Pier and ask to be taken there. Its a 2hr boat trip there and back. I was just wondering if anyone who has been there has any info on trespassing or if its ok for the public to be there. I know I am a noob, and that people may not want to give info and I am ok with that, but its worth a shot.

| | | I think this girl is watching destination truth to find exploration locations.... doll island, chernobyl, whats next.. Tut's tomb? And maybe I am just weird but I have always wanted to go to chernobyl... even right after it first happened. Something about an entire city abandoned seemed kool to me even back then. I wanted to live there lol, and the whole radioactive thing didn't bother me because I was a little kid and didn't understand what radiation was lol. And now that the levels have decreased enough to allow visitors for short periods of time people are risking the exposure just to look and take a few pictures. Makes me wonder what will happen when it will be safe enough for people to live in the area.. will it just be a tourist attraction that looses it's mystery and intrigue? *edited to include this text* FYI Doll island is no longer open to all tourists due to the death of the caretaker of the island. You now have to get special permission from his family to go there, and they are being very restrictive. They don't like a lot of people going there now because they believe his ghost is now there in the dolls along with the ghost of the little girl who died that he put the dolls there for. Although destination truth is an ok show, it is not the reason I want to go see chernobyl, I read about the huge abandoned city in the Ukraine while researching places to explore world wide, some of the others I would like to see are San Zhi which is in Taiwan, its a small community of pod like apartments that they stopped building and left, there is another one that is in Taiwan thats an abandoned amusement park that people stopped going to. So although yes I'll admit I saw Doll Island on there and thought I would try since I was gonna be in Mexico anyways, I didn't even know chernobyl was on the show
