| | | Apparently, the flooded section is actually two levels. I haven't been able to confirm this, it's just rumour as far as I know. My great uncle worked there when it was still CFS Redtape. I can ask him next time I see him.

| | | we didn't venture down that way, this was our first explore and sadly we lacked any real lighting, and I certainly wasn't dressed for it. WHEN I do go back, probably won't be until the spring -- I'd love to take my buddy out there in December when he gets in from Newfoundland, however I don't much enjoy the idea of wandering around that place in the cold with black ice to boot. But I've also heard it's two stories that are flooded, I heard they used the two basement floors as their reservoir for when it was converted to a cement mixing plant.

Two levels? Too bad its flooded. Might be some interesting things down there. I wonder if your great uncle knows of any areas at the radar station most people don't?

Other than the flooded area, probably not. There's a rumour of an escape shaft in the woods near the building itself. Not sure how true that one is. I can't even remember who told me that.

| | | Oh really? Next time I'm there -- Probably wait til spring -- I'll have to look around. I know when Alex and I were there last we noticed some trails that led off here or there and it was too late for us to fully take a look around.

Those trails are just ATV and truck trails. One of them goes down to the owner's place. Others go over to East Uniacke Road. I'll probably come up there again too.
