Eastern Shore UE (Bandwidth warning)

So this weekend AlexMcc (Whom I'll refer to as Alex from now on) Were on the wonderful Eastern shore (Sheet Harbour and Area). We went down and scoped out the old Teleglobe building I was talking about, place is fenced up and security cameras around the place... Needless to say I didn't wanna mess with the place.

There's also an old boat that's stationed at one of the docks in the place, however the place has been recently fenced too, and a damn good fence job it is, I didn't see any easy access points that wouldn't lead to tangles with barbed wire.

We did score some old abandoned houses though and we decided to scope one out.

The place looks in pretty good shape from the outside, I think it's been abandoned now for about 6 years.

The inside isn't in the most terrible shape, we noticed after a couple of flash shots that the there was still glow in the dark stars on the wall, so we played with those for a few minutes.

The rest of the house was kind of written off, Squirrels have seemed to found an excellent place to horde and crash for the winter months

The basement was the most interesting section of the house, lots of remnants as well as an absolutely terrible smell.

Apparently there was still a freezer full of rotten meat, however I couldn't bring myself any closer than the main room in the basement.

anyways, entire album can be found here if you wanna cruise through it

Edit: Sorry for the very "jumpy" photography, I know it's kind of all over the place, first time we've ever done any real night photography, so still getting used to lighting and tripods and such, pulled out the flash attachment for a fair chunk as well, but I don't think the flash photos look too terrible.

Comments / suggestions always welcome

I've been inside the fence at CANTAT-2 (Beaver Harbour), there's no power going to the building, but it is however locked up tight.
I've also been inside the Hawk which is the boat in Sheet Harbour itself.
If you go down past Sherbrooke Village and continue down the #7, you might find yourself come across an old church in the woods. There are a few houses down that way that are abandoned...but they're also rotting away, so watch your step.

That teleglobe building needs done.

GET IT DONE... BOYS.

Chris...

We all had ostriches. My dad had an ostrich farm! I remember one day someone came in and said the high altitude bombing of Kosovo had been a limited success, so we all went out and celebrated… by killing an ostrich and boiling it in kiwi fruit.

Chris, that's the building that I made a location in the DB.
The one we all had that discussion about for the security camera, how the casing is like 3 times the size of the actual camera itself.

There's at least some power going to the building now, there was an outdoor light on when I was there.

The biggest problem I could for see, if you did get caught, these are local small town RCMP, the kind that don't see much excitement, so they'd probably book your ass real quick.

EDIT:

Is this the boat you are referring to?

I say we get the gear on, go in at 2 or 3 am, and get it done. I think the boys here want some new shots.

This is the old cable landing site, so you have to think, the cable landed at the shore, how did it get into the building? It would not be buried due to maintenance etc, so I think there is a tunnel there.

Thoughts, suggestions?

We didn't get into the building, it's locked up tight. And we didn't feel like having any alarms go off on us.
