| | | Haven't been in any of them yet no, just catching flix the last few days I've been out job hunting. I'm kindof worried about stumbling across squatters since I'm out by myself, seems strange to be more scared here than Toronto but anytime I'm out on the streets (walking) the natives are on me trying to sell me drugs or whatever else they can think of to see if I'll pull out my wallet. Might be a little braver after I find a surplus store that sells pepper spray lol [last edit 9/22/2009 2:43 PM by KAPS - edited 1 times]

You need to get accustomed to being in an urban environment. The only time I got jumped was two botched robberies in broad daylight in BUSY neighborhoods. Squatters are not waiting around to rape/rob you.

I'll come out with you...I'm not scared of Edmonton at all...I'm free during the day as well...being an unemployed bum myself....I know where the first place is, I use to work next door to the "fort", but WHERE is the building in picture #4? We should get together, we can do Camsell one night as well if you want...I live 2 blocks from it.... Is anyone interested in an Edmonton meet to share sites? Here's some interior shots of Camsell we got a few years back when NVR2LOUD and I went in...
I EDC everyday. |

| | | Camsell is totally gutted now, just a shell. I'll probably be in Edmonton around Thanksgiving, if people are interested in meeting up.

| | | Careful when you explore the building in picture 2, around Ontario we grow weed in our abandonned Molson Factories. Ahhhhh... beer and weed.

When were you in it last? I imagine the upperfloors are still somewhat ok.....they are in there working everyday but only 4 or 5 guys, I can't see them getting much done.....then they won't be there for months.....really weird...

| | | This was about a year ago on the main floor
Everything above the 3rd floor was completely gutted. It was just a cement floor with pillars and a cement ceiling. No walls or anything left.

| | | I love that picture of the main floor, just my type of exploration. I love to see the decay, the floor tiles peeling up, the paint peeling off. Nature is trying to reclaim the building piece-by-piece, attempting to rid the world of the cancer that is mankind.

| | | Well I'm not sure what they are doing in there everyday then.....when I went in with Nvr2Loud, the bottom few floors were pretty much empty but the higher we went, the less demo work had been done...so they just must be in there killing time at this point....all the "out" buildings are down and a few "outcrops" of the main building are down...there doesn't seem to be any new materials delivered to the site so I would think they aren't doing much inside....who knows...maybe I will go look one night soon for an update.... anyone want to come along?

| | | I should be in town thanksgiving weekend, if you're interested... I doubt there is much left now, if anything. The out buildings are gone, the gym is gone... but the roof should still be nice.

| | | There is a crapload of places in this city to explore! I can think of 20+ sites that are at least worth checking out. Ive been a northside resident my whole life, been in the inner city a lot, no problems. Explored heavily while in highschool and that fell of while i was attending college. I have a lot more free time now, and my field of work allows me infinite access to research material for various sites. Would love to meet up with some like minded people who are interested in a few sites. Im 420 friendly too if that sweetens the deal. Shoot me an e-mail (komrade135@hotmail.com) and we can go from there! My first stop.... 53.553063,-113.490797

| | | Posted by irock Just wondering if there is anywhere OTHER than the Camsell hospital to explore here? I haven't seen much to check out...construction sites aren't that much fun after you've seen some of the sites I've seen...

There is a car dealership that is being emptied out right next to Molson's.The only part of it that seems like it is still active is the autobody shop. [last edit 1/17/2010 10:30 PM by Yellowcake-1480 - edited 1 times]

| | | Try the industrial parts of this city.I do not possess a car,but I have seen a lot of questionable property just by taking the bus into the industrial part of northwest Edmonton and walking from time to time.

| | | Yes rather close indeed! Although it looks easy from a distance, the outfall can be rather tricky and probably deadly should your fingers slip.
