| | | Alright so, I've been through the list of places here in Arizona and haven't found one that really fits my bill.... I'm looking for an abandoned Motel/Hotel for a photo shoot somewhere in this state!! I've searched and searched but came up empty handed, so I thought I would throw it out there and see if ANYONE knows of something... Maybe a big old warehouse even?! I've got a few months, so any new explorations will be of great help! Thanks, Karen

| | | Yeah, good luck getting into AMRAC except on a cheesy tour. I had a full bird colonel based there try to get me in to do night photography. It can't be done. Sneaking in? They'll sic the dogs on you, shoot you and then hit you with an astronomical fine. There's abandoned motels everywhere in the state. In virtually every town, especially the small ones. There's a whole miracle mile in east PHX that used to have 25 abandoned motels, but it may all be gone now. [last edit 7/24/2009 7:50 PM by LostAmerica - edited 1 times]

| | | Yea! I've only been on the bus tour they provide. It's a cool place, but not as accessible as I need it to be. I've been out to Globe and Miami recently, haven't found a good place yet. I'll keep looking.

Luckily there are a few boneyards around the area that have been accessed. A long time friend of my family that is still a commander on that base couldn't get me in as well... I went to amarc a few times with my dad when I was a young'en and he had to pull parts of A-10s (lived on Davis Monthan for 9 yrs) [last edit 7/26/2009 9:27 PM by sYnOnYx - edited 2 times]

| | | If you can't find abandoned hotels/motels anywhere along route 66, you are driving with your eyes shut. That is illegal in some states.

I'm glad you sign your posts. It's pretty tough to figure out who wrote them otherwise.
