Last night Dora & I explored the Molycorp facility in Louviers (just north of Sedalia on Santa Fe.) Dora spotted this location and BEGGED me to take a closer look. We got in no problem, and spent almost 3 hours exploring the 20,000 square foot main building, several outbuildings and the water tank. Has anyone else been here?

Found this info about it online: The site was formerly owned by Molycorp and operated as a rare earth minerals refining facility. The facility closed in the mid 1990s, underwent environmental remediation and monitoring, and was given a clean bill of health from the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment for redevelopment in 2005.

I went there this afternoon with Tanpantsman and a couple other explorer buddies. It was pretty cool, worth the trip. I'll have some of my pics up in a few days when I get my film developed.
