| | | Hey there, Wandering around last night, I happened onto a half demolished factory at Perth and Sterling, near Dundas and Lansdowne. The location consisted of some large empty sawtooth roof buildings, a neat brick round smokestack, and a large pseudo-art deco tower. Anyone know any more about this place? What was it when it was in use? Cheers.

| | | Yeah, I really like this location. Too bad most of the factory floor is demolished. http://www.flickr....72157604134274079/ The view from the tower is spectacular. I use the shot I got as the background for my website banner.

It actually predates art deco by a few years, and has some minor Beaux-Arts influences.

It's sort of close to Edwardian Classicism as well, built in the right period also for both.

| | | Interestingly I found a historical photo of the building at a street festival last weekend. It dates the building as 1912 or 1914 which would make it a bit older then what articles have been quoting. Enjoy...
