I kind of like #3. I'm digging the color. I actually want to see #4 in color. I bet that sofa is a really funky color that would contrast nicely with the rusty, busted-up background.

1) In this case, where you have a dark in the foreground and a lot of light in the background, try using your flash (even if it's pop-up) or upping the iso(grain looks good in this bw context) to max and a small aperture. You would see more clearly what's in front of you, and the background wouldn't clip. Even if it looks somehow right the way it is, a bit less clipping in the bright section would have done the job.

2) Cool compo, but watch out for those over-sharpened edges, like the bar at your right (the most visible one) and a lot of straight lines in the pic. Maybe it's a problem with re-sizing?

Number three isn't too interesting, another POV would have been better, and number four lacks contrast.

Didn't mean to be harsh, you should go back and take more pics! Looks like a cool place

No problem, I hear ya on all of the edits. I'd love to go to that place again if I'm able to and re-take pics. Especially since we got caught only 2 hours in.

I really like #2. i love how the broken wall sort of makes a frame around the building. i'd like to see a little more detail in the sky; whether that includes clouds or maybe just a darker color. i'm not a big fan of white sky.
