| | | Subj. This is really sad, i have registered recently and could not do anything on this forum/website...cant answer PM's, cant post, cant chat, could not do anything. There was an event this passed weekend in Denver, wanted to contact some peepz who signed up, couldnt... So my question is : what is this rule for ? p.s. could not find any useful info on this topic.

| | | I spent some of my time reading the site rules! How about you?
I was exploring the cave last night. That's why I was late. |

Zing! That's right, though, the seven day waiting period is mainly there to discourage registrations for the purpose of spamming and the like, but using it to familiarise oneself with the place is an excellent approach. Oh, and welcome to UER!

| | | Check out what this positive, excited young chap had to say upon arrival:
Posted by drummer2k7 YES!!! Finally! Gaw! haha. The little 7 day waiting period is pretty hardcore. I feel like a member of some highly exclusive club now. Like I've been let in on some well-kept secret. Well, I'm stoked to be on here. I have been intrigued by the concept of exploring places since I was a little kid. I have been interested in photography for a few years now too. I took a few classes in high school on digital photography and photo manipulation. I don't have any specialized equipment in it or anything, just a general interest. I never knew a site like this even existed until a week or two ago when I stumbled across UER. This seems like a badass site. I live on a college campus that seems like it should have steam tunnels and I want to check them out. Will post pics if I ever manage to get into them. Excited to be here, though.

| | | I can see the purpose of the rule, but I agree that it's a poor execution.

Was that your first post before changing your nick? |
- this is my first post, but i have never registered here before and never changed my nick. Welcome to UER! Enjoy yourself it's AWESOME |
-thanks and i am sure i will enjoy it, that was the reason for joining -find folks in my area who sneaks 8) and sneak together he he
I spent some of my time reading the site rules! How about you? -Trust me, i did, this is not the only forum i'm participating in and got used to reading rules and regulations, but un-fortunately, did not come across any useful explanation. What i see in answers is common sense and it is good that you have pointed out, i started to suspect some "special" regulations. i am really glad all here are helping and actually, replies are extraordinary fast, did not expect to see anything here at least untill tomorrow. thanks all.
