Nice shots, I love 2,3 and 5. Also that's a sexy site, find any rattlesnakes whilst about in the grass?

Not exactly. On I-40 about 30 miles east of Flagstaff - has its own exit.

Two guns is a neat place, you got some cool pictures too. The mountain lion building cracks me up. So did you get any pictures of the newer structures that are out there?

Yes, but the KOA was not as interesting to me as the lion farm.

That's what I was looking for. For some reason, those water towers are my favorite part. Well, those and the mountain lion building/cages.

It's possible. I'd need to watch it again, but some filming was done in the Flagstaff area.

I passed by there in the mid-60, when Route 66 was still open. Rider was released in 1969 and I don't know if I-40 had killed it by then, or not.

Are you talking about Canyon Diablo? I tried to find it when I was at Two Guns. Rode out to the East of the canyon a bit and just saw flat ground.

I need to go back and really spend some time looking at other POI's in the area.

yes and it is in a different direction.there are a few old shacks to the southeast but they are hard to get to with a car we usually go on motorcycles.diablo is to the north and you have to do a little hiking not too far they put up a fence by the train tracks last i knew.you can drive up to it from the north coming in on the rez but finding the right road is difficult.there are a few buildings by angel and an old bridge too.thats at the winona exit and a little northeast on the train road.we have covered most of the area south of two guns looking for a couple plane crash sites from the 40's,we havent found them.

My beloved IMDB lists major filming locations for Easy Rider here:

http://www.imdb.co...t0064276/locations

I love seeing old moves & then trying to get to the exact locations that some scenes were filmed at. Nostalgia like that makes mean ol' /-/oolie wax & whine -- sometimes even poetically!

Here's some photos I took at another UE'able location not too distant from Two Guns. I guess you could say this was a more old-school version of Two Guns (har har har...)

I noticed that place on my way East from Flagstaff. Didn't stop, which was unusual for me. I'll be back in the area soon and I'll put it on my list. The arrows will go nicely the the tepee that I'm going to stay in Holbrook.
