| | | I found out that on the way back from prescott to tucson, after you get off of one ramp there is an abandoned factory off to the right(if you're going south). I'm not exactly sure where it is but it is really close to prescott compared to phoenix. Anyone ever explore the site or even know what I'm talking about.

| | | Is it in Cordes Junction when getting onto 69 from 17? I know there is also an abandoned factory looking thing and the old chimney in Mayer on the way to and from Prescott on 69.

| | | I forget exactly where it is. I've been planning to head over there, it is like 10-20 minutes before that place with all the pie going down to phx from prescott. I'll have to see if there is a weekend i can get up there to explore the place.

| | | Not sure I remember the place with all the pie along the way. It's been a while since I last drove it (early January) so my memory isn't the best.

| | | While you're at it, maybe eyeball the place at 34.087223° -112.148317° Spotted it on Google Earth while, for fun, trying to figure out where you're talking about (even though I'm nowhere remotely near there). Good luck! [last edit 5/27/2009 3:14 AM by PhotoSeeker - edited 1 times]

That location is the old Black Canyon Greyhound Park. It's obscure location had something to do with being close to Phoenix while still being located in another county. Something about being able to race more often. Very 70s...brown with orange and yellow accents. Shut down in the early 80s, I believe. Property still owned by Delaware North Corporation.

| | | re: greyhound park - black canyon city There's a care taker that sometimes visits the location and will report to the police any suspicious behavior. The police came while I was there but it was not due to me being reported. The police just saw our car and decided to just check us out before we left. He wasn't really concerned about teaching us a lesson or getting mad at us, just wanted to check us out and make sure we weren't up to no good. Since I had my grandpa with me (what can i say, he wanted pie) the policeman was more than nice and let us go. To sum up - if driving by - stop and explore it. Not worth making a trip out there for it.
