I would have shouted "does anybody in here like crawling through sewers?" I'm sure if there were explorers in the room they would have realized you were one of them.

i'll try the shouting about sewers thing next time. even if I don't find any UER people, I might meet some very interesting people. and, they actually probably didn't realize I was one of them. they probably thought i was a prissy elitist looking for a corner to sip a chai latte, pretend to write in a journal, and look upon them with distain.

Hmm I never thought of non urbexers liking sewers, you would meet some interesting people. As for the second part of your reply I love it so much and it made me laugh for so long I'm putting it in my quote below my posts so I can look at it and giggle frequently.

understood. i grew up in Lower Sackville, theres lots of shoveling to be done. the street where i lived, all the houses had retaining walls to keep the front yard out of the driveway. this meant two metre snow drifts and a buried car, every time. | | | for the last three out of four months, i was the only one to show up. i have no idea if anyone came to the December meeting, but i suspect not. so, the obvious questions need to be asked: 1 - is the meeting time (noon) and schedule (first sunday) not working for people? 2 - are people simply not interested in a monthly meet? thoughts and opinions are welcomed.

Believe me, we're interested. But not everybody is always available. For me, where I don't live in the city, it's a bit of a hike (about a half hour), but I get out whenever I can. Other people work, etc. I think what we need to do is figure out when everybody (or as many people) will be available, and then just go. Honestly though, I thought the original time (1400h) was a good time of day to meet. I'm not sure about others, but Saturdays/Sundays are my "catch up on sleep" days, so I'm usually sleeping in until about noon. [last edit 1/9/2010 4:39 AM by nootz - edited 1 times]

| | | To me, it seems the only local active members that keep checking this board is tbp, nootz and i.. and i guess tbeckerson now.. and we've been keeping up with what's hip and happening on this site, that when we get together it's just the same old. And Nootz keeps me pretty up to date with new stuff, so we just go check stuff out, so meets seem kinda moot. Meets would make more sense if there were more active local members, but since it just seems to be tbeckerson that I don't think any of us have met yet, why not just go after something.. or set up something when the four of us are available for coffee.
