	I havent been there since the digital age, does anyone have any pictures of the individual crosses, statues and building? Most of the pictures on the net are drivebys or the one or 2 that have been gotten by a reporter that actually got in there. Those of you that like active infiltrations, how about a hostile one? Now that I am lots older, I would like to actually see what went on in the old mans mind, not just harass and vandalize the place. Those that arent memphis locals, Voodoo Village is a real place in a very isolated bad section of Memphis. It is 4 or 5 houses that belong to a group that follows an old man that mixes Voodoo and Masonic followings and creates crosses and monuments that come to him in visions. The one decent Youtube was during the summer so the trees block most of the view. The others are done by the Ghosthunter type groups and are too artsy to actually see anything.

	I've taken several trips down to St. Paul's Spiritual Temple with the idea of photographing the place. The first time, we were chased out by the neighbors by car until we got about 2 miles away before we had a chance to snap some pics. The second time, I nabbed a few quick night shots before being persuaded to leave by the other people in the car, but mysteriously, none of them turned out (they were all blurry, and there was no mystery since I was shooting handheld with very little light.) The third time we went back during the day and got lots of shots. The place was quiet and we spent a good 15 minutes there before departing. A week later, I had my car stolen at gunpoint, along with my camera, lenses, and all the prints and negatives from the V.V. shoot. While I never put much stock in the urban legend attached to the place, it is definitely creepy. The inhabitants can be seen wearing white monastic-style tunics and have a number of large white dogs. Honestly, I'm apprehensive of even posting about the place, as the people who live there have expressed a desire to be left alone, and I'm inclined to do what they say. I know that a number of years ago, speculation and myth about the place, combined with good ol' Southern racism inspired the son of a Shelby County sheriff to firebomb one of the structures on the property, and I doubt the inhabitants have ever forgotten it. My best advice to those intrigued by St. Paul's Spiritual Temple is to stay away. It's really a lot less interesting than one might assume. If you're a ranking Freemason, you might stand a chance at not being run off, but since no one outside the compound knows (or has told) what they believe there, they might not even understand or care about your handshakes and codewords. Many have tried and failed to gain access. Also, while it's adjacent to a large lake subdivision that's rather nice to this day, it's also very close to a number of suspect neighborhoods, river bottoms, and other places where you wouldn't be missed if you ran into the wrong crowd. Our experience with the neighbors there (who aren't part of the compound) illustrated the very least that can happen. "You have to let other people be right.
