| | | The first piece of advice I'll offer you is quite simple. Say no to flash. Bring a tripod and let your camera do what it does. You'll find that the results are a lot more impressive. Make good use of whatever ambient light there might be.

pretty much what he said, but i would add that it probably isn't in your best interest to post photos that are completely out of focus and rendered useless. the critiques section can be rough on you, and that first shot is obviously a throwaway shot. don't post it. as for the other shots, you need to find a focal point of interest in the photo...take into account composition, take a look at what you're pointing at through the viewfinder of the camera. are you cutting off a piece of furniture that should be included in the shot? for instance, in shot #4, the photo would be stronger if you shot the center window and one angled window on either side, with keeping symmetry in mind. watching your lines and so on. the only way to improve is keep shooting, and rather than capturing "snapshots", take your time and think about what it is you want to photograph.

| | | I agree with killing the flash until you get ahold of one that you can bounce and eliminate the point & shoot flash look. For now get the tripod and maybe try light painting with long exposures if you don't have any natural light available.

| | | take the advice given above by msgsudz.. and consider posting these in the photography section first and take a look at what others post, you can learn a lot from just looking over others work and getting a feel for what makes a good photo. Then when you start to feel confident you can post here ( of course you can anyway ) and get some good feedback. You will get helpful advice and comments in the general photography section but here in the critiques - well you may just get criticism. As mentioned, 4# has potential, there are interesting colours here but the angle and framing of the shot is off in 6# there looks to be some interesting colours at work with those yellow pipes...maybe a wide perspective looks uninteresting but a close up of those colours may show an interesting visual number 7# that machine has some colour too, and a different angle may have given the shot mew life
enjoy taking photos and enjoy exploring and if you like photography spend some time in the forums and get some ideas from others to help the learning curve.

| | | Yeah If anything you should have posted these in UE Photography rather than critique, cause at this point if you really want critique on them, you are going to have pages to read.

Agreed! Flash = bad. I'm not a fan. That being said, I actually really like #4. Nice job on that one.

| | | #1 is my favourite shot, it's like you took the shot from a moving car? Were you driving a car in that fuckin' place? If so, how the living "letter L" did you manage to get it through the doors man? That shot knocked the wind out of me.

| | | I would deffinantly say level out your photos, find your eye level. Dont shoot so high. I like your concept, but man, the flash has to go. I have a similar camera to yours and i know its hard to get decent photos in a dark place without flash. Work on postioning and take your time, look around and dont shoot the first thing you see.
