| | | I’m looking to do a road trip around a the Maritimes (Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, maybe PEI) this fall in search of some places to explore and photograph. Does anyone know of some good locations? Off the trail is not a problem as I have a GPS to find my way. I’m a little new to this so Advice is welcome as well.

| | | The only real advice I can give for road tripping is take back roads. They always seem to provide you with pretty sweet locations.

| | | I’ve found a few hovels on other trips taking side roads but you have to be careful. Once you get away from old roads you can get stuck in the middle of nowhere with nothing to see but new homes or woods. I’m guessing that the trick will be to look around old cities/towns. Places that were founded 200 years ago. Just outside of those is where the pot of gold should be. Have you found any good places in your area?

| | | Not a lot of places out my way, found an old listening station (foundation) with a bunker that's possibly still intact. And I think either this weekend or next, I might be checking out an abandoned house deep in the woods.

| | | Sounds good, let me know how it goes. I know of 2 train cars that derailed in Lower Sackville which to the best of my knowledge are still 1/2 in a lake. Might be good for a look in the fall. I went once in the spring and it was in a fair bit of water with the sky black with mosquitoes. Winter might be best because you should be able to walk onto the ice.
